In case you hadn’t noticed today is Tuesday, which – as the name suggests – is the perfect day for Tuesday Tuneage. Hit The Floor will continue to deliver songs that are dominating our stereos and computer screens, be they old or new. This week sees the turn for Canadian legends Alexisonfire who are set to storm the Brixton Academy in London at the start of December.
In order to celebrate the release (and, sadly for some, selling out) of the pre-sale tickets this morning, and the upcoming full release of tickets on Friday, we decided to take you back an entire decade to 2002. Dallas Green and co. are looking particularly fresh-faced as they shred their way through their most experimental material. Although they developed in style over the following years, the force they perfected during their infancy stayed with them over the subsequent three albums.
It remains to be seen whether fans will be exposed to early material at their final show in three and a half months time; until that moment we present you with the powerful ‘Water Wings’ taken from their self-titled debut album.
