It wasn’t unnoticeable that Lemmy Kilmister had a few difficult health issues last year, that caused him to be limited in his ability to tour with his band, Motorhead. Though luckily through those hard times for anyone, you find out who your true friends are, and Kilmister proclaims a well-known guitar legend for his continuous support.
Slash was a reportedly frequent guest to the Motorhead frontman’s home. In a Rolling Stone interview, he said that, “He was at my house more than he’s ever been before, encouraging me. He’s a really f—ing good guy.”
Last August, after Motorhead’s shortened Wacken Performance, it was Slash that bared the news that he had visited Lemmy, stating that he was doing well and was at the end of recording for the ‘Aftershock’ album.
Their friendship also carries onto the stage, as Motorhead made a miraculous return in the spring. Slash happily joined the band for a few performances, both at a Los Angeles gig and then again at Coachella.
For the current wellbeing of Kilmister, it is stated that he is much better after the health issues that saturated him last year. The 68-year-old joked, “I’ve still got a few bugs in me. Don’t look forward to my demise just yet.”
Motorhead have since returned to the road in support of ‘Aftershock’. Kilmister states that he is particularly focused on making a better showing in Wacken, Germany this year. Saying that he cannot wait to make it right for what had happened the previous year.
