Last Resort is a club night which takes place every three months hidden in the basement depths of The Star of Kings Pub in Kings Cross, London. This Saturday (8th March) marks the first event of 2014 and if you haven’t been then we couldn’t recommend it enough!

5) Kronenberg bottles are 2 for 1 from 8-10pm
6) Jagerbombs are 5 for £20 all night
7) It’s going to be FUCKING AWESOME
We spoke to co-founder Allie Bailey about the event. Check out what happened here.
HTF: Last Resort is becoming a staple club night in London, did you ever expect that when you first put on the night?
Allie: It all started when we went to a pop punk night in Camden about 3 years ago – it was rubbish. The Djs looked like they were having the worst time ever and it was empty so we drunkenly suggested we do one ourselves. Its al about having a great time at a club you couldn’t get into when you were 15, drinking loads of jager and being yourself – we always hoped that people would embrace those things and they have!
HTF: Do you think the exclusivity of it only being every three months is why it’s so popular because it doesn’t happen every week like other club nights?
A: Well if you miss one, you have to wait 6 months so that helps! I think weekly or monthly puts a strain on promoters and punters and we don’t want that. It’s like a party with all your best mates every 3 months – something to look forward to and something you will ALWAYS go to.
HTF: The club night is free, do you think this adds to the appeal?
A: We don’t like charging on the door because we don’t think you should have to pay to get in as well as paying for drinks – life is expensive as it is! Plus, you can’t put a price on Bizkit being followed by Taylor Swift can you?
HTF: You now run after parties for festivals such as Reading and Download. How did these come about?
A: A few of us work in in the music industry in our day jobs and we know people through that. Its mainly mates asking us to do them a favour – The Kerrang! Awards and Download were particular highlights for us – Djing to 3000 people a night in the Doghouse was amazing.
HTF: If you could only play three songs for the whole night which songs sum up Last Resort?
A: Limp Bizkit – Break Stuff, Jimmy Eat World – The Middle (We always play this at 10.30 which is the middle of the night…), System Of A Down – Chop Suey
HTF: If you could only serve two drinks at Last Resort what would what it be?
A: Jager and Lager. That’s all they do sell there isn’t it?!
HTF: DJ Lethal DJed at Last Resort after the Kerrang tour in London. How did the night go?
A: It was great! He’s a very nice man, but a little bit of a better Dj than some of us.
HTF: It’s the first Last Resort of the year back in Kings Cross. What can punters expect from this weekends festivities?
A: March LR is always MENTAL because people have money again after the new year and are back on the booze. Expect epic dancing and sing alongs and of course the obligatory crowd surfing and mosh pits when we play Paramore….
HTF: What’s the best thing you’ve ever seen happen at a Last Resort club night?
A: A girl had her tooth knocked out in the pit and just kept on moshing, then FB messaged us to ask if anyone had seen her tooth. That was pretty good. As was the time a newly wed bride and groom turned up straight from the wedding and stayed til the end, still in their wedding gear….
