After the announement last week that HMV had gone into receivership, thousands of people across the UK were suitably angry that the gift vouchers were not going to be redeemed. However, one Manchester based company is hoping to bring some happiness to this situation.
Throughout January, Banter Media will redeem any HMV voucher for it’s full value against use in their recording studio. In a time where the fate of the physical CD is being questioned, Banter Media are offering help to those who love music to help make even more music. Bands and solo artists can come into the Manchester studio and record their music using the supposedly invalid vouchers from HMV.
Furthermore, they are also offering all current HMV staff a 50% discount in the wake of the uncertainty surrounding the company.
Banter Media have a brand new profession quality recording studio which can be used for recording, mixing, mastering or against one of their fantastic packages including Kids Recording Parties and Stag and Hen parties. All of the staff at the studios are experienced musicians and Head Engineer Adam is a vocal coach on hand to make sure you give an amazing performance that you can share with everyone!
Managing director Liam Andrew Wight said “In these hard times we feel for all the people that have received vouchers from HMV and for the people who have lost their jobs so we thought we would try and give something back and bring a little music back in to people’s lives!”
