After being chosen as one of the eight lucky bands Red Bull gave a chance to play at Download Festival, Create To Inspire have been crowned winners of Red Bull Studios Live At Download 2014.
The first eight bands were picked first by the public, then narrowed down by industry experts. A team from Download then watched as each act performed on the Red Bull stage and had the tough job of picking a winner. They had this to say of their choice:
“We were hugely impressed by the final eight Red Bull Studios Live bands and it was clear they all put everything into their performance at Download! Amazing to see them all getting such a strong reaction from the crowd. It’s an extremely tough call but after lots of consideration we felt that Create To Inspire really stood out for us; their energy really came across and it’s clear they have lots of potential.“
Create To Inspire were very grateful and said this of their win:
“Firstly we are massively overwhelmed and pretty shocked to be honest because we did not expect this, we were actually routing for a few other bands because they were incredible. All I can really say is a huge thank you to the guys at Red Bull Studios, Download Festival, our manager and everyone who has taken the time to vote for us and support us since the birth of this band, it’s incredible, absolutely incredible.
We can’t wait to get back to Red Bull Studios and record some new material for our EP and working with Romesh is going to be great, the guy’s insanely good. To be honest, knowing we’re going back has put big smiles on all of our faces.
As far as the Fender gear goes, well that is much needed equipment, it’s going to get some really good use.
