Black Sabbath’s decision to reunite once more clearly paid off, as they have received a worldwide platinum award for the 2013 reunion album, “13”, before they took to the stage in their last show of their “13” world tour, at London’s Hyde Park on Friday.
The record, produced by resound Rick Rubin, it was the groups first studio album with Ozzy since 1978’s “Never Say Die”. The group recorded the album with Brad Wilk, and Tommy Clufetos performed throughout the tour, since original drummer Bill Ward did not wish to participate in the reunion.
On receiving the award the band posted, “Thanks to everyone who purchased the 13 album and came to see us play along the tour! We received a plaque at Hyde Park for 1 million sales and the album reaching #1 in 14 countries. Thank you all!”
