York-based quintet The Bastard Sons have revealed that they will be putting out their EP ‘Roads’ on March 10th through Kaiju Records. This will serve as a follow up to the band’s debut EP ‘Bones’. Recorded and mixed at Edge Recording Studios by Rory Vallely and mastered at Air Studios by Ray Staff (who’s worked with legendary names like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and The Clash), this record promises to be different from anything you’ve heard before.
“Lyrically I don’t write about my life, because who gives a fu** about a nearly thirty-something guy from York? I write about things that have happened, history” he explains, adding “Not as a lesson because that seems self-righteous, but things that aren’t about me. There’s been loads of teenage angst bands, and everyone’s sick of hearing it. I’m starting to write a lot more stuff about what’s happening now.”
The upcoming 6-track EP will feature the following songs:
1. O’ Brothel Where Art Thou
2. Raise The Horse
3. Sobre La Muerte
4. Seasons End
5. IV
6. Winter
To get you pumped up, the band are streaming their song ‘Raise The Horse’, as a sort of preview for the EP.
