British soul singer Shola Ama has uploaded new single ‘Boyfriend’ to Soundcloud.
The song has been released ahead of her first solo album since 2002’s ‘Symphony’.
In that time, she has guested on numerous tracks as well as appearing as a number of collaborations and collectives. Ama said: “For the first time I’m making music that I want to make. I don’t know how it’s taken so long”
‘Boyfriend’ was produced by Cass Lowe (Ronan Keating, Backstreet Boys) and Toddla T and Farm have lent their expertise to remixes to be released in the coming weeks.
Shola Ama will be performing at The Nest in London on March 28.
