Robbie Williams has confirmed that he will not join Take That for their next tour.
The singer, who rejoined the group in 2010 for the Progress album and UK Stadium tour was expected to take part in the next Take That chapter. However, Robbie, who recently revealed his wife Ayda is expecting their second child, claims that fatherhood and his own solo career has left him with little time to commit to the band.
Speaking to The Sun, Robbie said: “Logistically, I can’t do it. I have the tour and I’m going to be a dad again” but he did not rule out being a part of the band at some point in the future, adding: “It doesn’t mean to say I won’t join in along the way. Whatever happens, I am absolutely going to be in Take That – I love being in Take That.”
Robbie is currently on the ‘Swings Both Ways‘ solo tour in support of his album of the same title, released at the end of 2013.
