Not being one to disappoint the fans Rihanna has already revealed the first looks in her new River Island campaign and second collection . This is following the her first S/S range, which was a huge success for the British high street brand.
In true bad girl style, her collection will include, bomber, jackets, cropped hoodies and printed snakeskin leather skirts. The prices will range from £10.00 for RiRi underwear to £200.00 for embossed leather jackets. People may argue and say that no one would ever pay that amount, but her first collection saw her fans queue for hours just to get their hands on it!
The 80 piece collection has been described by River Island as a mix of ‘urban sports luxe’ with ‘sophisticated chic’ and her co-designer Adam Selman has said that her A/W 2014 will be “more ambitious than ever.”
He said: “We had a lot more fun this time round. The first collection was a lot purer, about finding pieces that Rihanna felt were missing from her closet. There is a real concept to this one. I can’t give too much away, but we travel so much and experience so much of the world. We’re very lucky to do so and that definitely inspired us. The idea of sports uniforms and masculine vs feminine is something we evolved from last season too. There was a lot of pressure with our debut – this felt more relaxed.”
The clothes will go on sale in the store in September, but for the fans that simply cannot wait that long, she has released a behind the scenes video which sees her getting very hands on in the process of designing, giving her creative input by commenting on what she likes and suggesting any amendments that should be made.
