Olly Murs has been named as the most played pop artist in the UK of 2013.
Phonographic Performance Ltd are a music royalty body who deal with public plays of songs in places such as pubs, shops and clubs. The business confirmed that Olly Murs was the most played artist last year.
Olly Murs commented on the news:
“I’d like to thank all the writers and producers on all the records that I’ve done, they’ve been incredible, of course the TV channels, the radio stations, the pubs, the clubs, the bingo halls, whoever has played my songs. It means a lot to me and of course the fans because I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them.”
