Leona Lewis has teased fans with new information about her upcoming fifth studio album.
On the 30th August last week, Lewis tweeted that she had spent the week working with engineer and producer Jesse Shatkin, who has recently worked with Sia on her hit single ‘Chandelier’.
A few days later on 2nd September, Lewis posted a photo of a keyboard with the caption “Studio time”, which was followed by another photo a couple of hours later sitting on a chair with a photographer in front of her, reportedly for her upcoming album’s artwork.
The next day, she posted a selfie with a caption which again read “Studio break”.
In an interview with Billboard last December, the singer revealed that she had met with various producers to conceptualise a theme for the album during the summer of 2013, at the same time she was recording for her Christmas album, ‘Christmas, with Love’, and that she had written/recorded a couple of songs with DJ Poet, whom she desired to work with again.
She has also expressed an interest in working with Bruno Mars, his production team The Smeezington’s, and Haim.
Since then, Lewis has spent the majority of 2014 recording song for the album, and stated during an interview on the red carpet of her first feature film appearance, ‘Walking on Sunshine’, that she would definitely be releasing new music by the end of the year.
We think that Lewis may be planning a surprise release and intentionally not giving too much away about release dates, song information and who she has been working with for the past eight months. Only time will tell!
