It’s been revealed at both Leona Lewis and Sam Bailey will appear on Michael Bolton‘s new album.
However, Lewis will duet with the soft-rock pioneer on a song called ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,’ a song which he and Bailey recorded for Bailey’s debut album, which was released last week. Confused? Let’s back track and start from the beginning!
Last September, Lewis and Bolton’s duet of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ received its radio premiere on Radio 2. Throughout her time on the X Factor last year, Bailey repeatedly cited Bolton as a prominent influence, and ended up meeting him in a mentor session where they began a friendship after being impressed by Bailey’s vocal ability.
Bailey performed ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ live with Bolton at the National Television Awards earlier this year; it was later revealed that the singer’s had officially collaborated with each other in the studio, and had recorded a duet of the song for inclusion on Bailey’s debut, ‘The Power of Love.’
Bailey features on Bolton’s new album, however their recording of the song is not included. Instead, his recording of the same song with Lewis features instead, while Bailey guests on a song similarly titled ‘Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing.’
We think that all three of them should be on the same song, just to make things easier! Lewis and Bailey singing on the same song would definitely make for an interesting listen, given her powerhouse vocal status.
