Lana Del Rey has released a 13 second teaser of her upcoming short film, ‘Tropico’.
It was shot in June 2013 by famed music video director Anthony Mandler, who has directed many of Rihanna‘s music videos, including ‘Only Girl (In the World)’, ‘Man Down’ and ‘Diamonds’.
Del Rey described the content of the film to be “Elvis and Jesus and Marilyn and extraterrestrials all in one”. Sounds.. interesting!
The short, which features Del Rey’s new songs ‘Bel Air’, ‘Body Electric’ and ‘Gods and Monsters’, sees the songstress star opposite American model Shaun Ross.
Ross, famed for being the worlds first albino model, is probably best known for playing Katy Perry‘s love interest in her alien and space centric music video for ‘E.T.’ He also made an appearance in Beyoncé‘s chilled out video for ‘Party’.
While there is currently no release date, ‘Tropico‘ is expected to premiere “soon”, and it certainly looks like something to watch out for!
