Justin Bieber’s new album has become his lowest charting record to date, peaking at number 46 in the UK so far.
The album ‘Journals’ features all ten of his recent #MusicMondays releases as well as five brand new tracks.
The record has so far claimed peak positions of 35 in Australia, 64 in Ireland, 38 in Italy and 174 in France.
The Hollywood Reporter states that US Billboard has been informed that iTunes will not disclose the sales numbers for ‘Journals’ to Nielsen SoundScan, meaning the album will not appear on the chart.
Bieber’s last album ‘Believe’, released back in 2012 with more traditional marketing methods, went straight to number one in most regions. ‘Journal’ is currently only available to download, with no physical release currently scheduled.
Meanwhile the singer’s new film ‘Believe’ also has also seen disappointing box office performance, taking in $3.1million in the first three days compared to $29.5million made from his first film ‘Never Say Never’ within the same time frame.
