Boy Bands, Boy Bands, Boy Bands! That’s all we ever see at the moment, whether it be JLS, Take That, The Wanted, One Direction etc etc. However, Stooshe are here to smash the doors down for the girls to take control, and boy are we happy.
Kickstarting 2012 by being longlisted on The BBC’s ‘Sound of 2012’ Stooshe are now in the middle of promoting their brand new single ‘Love Me‘ which features none other than Gym Class Hereo’s Travie McCoy. With a release date of March 5th, you can already pre-order the single from here.
Stooshe stand out from the because of the chemistry between Alex, Karis and Courtney which creates a vibe that makes you want to turn the track up and dance around. A fun filled group who provide great vocals alongside punchy choruses and a colourful and upbeat video. There’s no doubt that Stooshe are here for the long term.

HTF: Hi guys, thanks for taking time out to speak to us at Hit The Floor, how are you all?
Stooshe: Hiiiii we’re good thank you, how are you guys??
HTF: Very well thanks! First of all, for those that have not yet heard about Stooshe (they soon will), can you introduce yourselfs?
Stooshe: Yep there’s Courtney, the quirky baby of the group, Alex , the Ghanian princess & Karis, the girly gangster of the group :)
HTF: Last year I caught you at LiveFest which I thought you absolutely smashed, a lot has happened since then though, what would you say was the stand out highlight over the last year?
Stooshe: Everyday something new seems to pop up which is amazing but overall as a band we all think going to LA to shoot the ‘Love Me’ video and do a photoshoot was crazy. It was a whole new experience and we were treated like princesses!!!! Plus we got to team up with Travie McCoy ;)
HTF: How did the Travie McCoy collab come about?
Stooshe: We’re label buddies, so it got hooked up through that, but it was nice to work with someone who has fun on a track like we do. He gave the impression he really wanted to be there and have a laugh so it was cool :)
HTF: What has the reception been like for the single?
Stooshe: Crazzzzzzyyyyyy!!!!!! we’re soo happy and overwhelmed that people have even picked up on the track and we’re grateful for all the support!!!
HTF: What are the plans after the single, when can we expect an album?
Stooshe: We’re going to be doing some festivals this year, we’re back at the Isle of White Festival so that will be fun, PLUS album will hopefully be out in the late summer :D we’re excitedddd!!!
HTF: Soooooo, its almost Valentines day! Any plans?
Stooshe: We are actuallly working on Valentines Day, but in the evening we all hope to spend it with our partners, or we’ll change Valentines Day to the weekend!
HTF: If you could choose the perfect date, how would it go?
Stooshe: We all came to the agreement that we want to be spoilt. We would really love someone to take us away on a surprise vacation and have all our bags packed and everything planned. So we do not have anything to think about and can just be whisked away! Aaaah, we can all dream…
HTF: If you could choose any colour rose on Valentine’s day, what colour rose would you like?
Alex: Yellow rose as my parents have always given eachother that colour rose foreeever.
Court:Mulitcolour rose, just to be different lol
Karis: Pink
HTF: We love the little poems that people put in their Valentine’s cards. Can you make up a little poem for us to us? (No more than 4 lines)
