American R&B singer Ameriie is making her return to the music scene with new music.
It comes in the form of a lyric video for her new single, ‘What I Want’, which contains a sample of Sugar Hill Gang‘s ‘Apache (Jump On It)’.
The track was written by Ameriie herself and produced by her husband, Mr. Nicholson. It is a retro R&B song with the ‘Apache (Jump On It)’ instrumental serving as the main backbeat.
The lyric video is a colourful and psychedelic array of shapes, twists and turns with a throwback feel to the 70s.
Having broke out on the music scene in 2002, Ameriie last achieved international success with her 2005 smash hit single ‘1 Thing’, which finished as one of the best selling singles in both the US and the UK.
