If you were disappointed that you missed out on tickets for Alicia Keys’ show at London’s O2 arena as part of for her upcoming 2013 ‘Girl On Fire – The Tour’, due to them selling out extremely quickly, then you will be pleased to hear that she has announced an additional date.
The fourteen-time Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, and producer is set to tour the UK for seven days in May next year, performing in Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and London.
Speaking about the tour Alicia said: “I’m so excited to be touring again and coming back in the UK!!! I’m looking forward to performing and feeling the energy of the crowd-there’s nothing like it. I plan to bring you something Emotional and exciting! I’m a brand new me!”
Alicia has a phenomenal repertoire of hits and accomplishments, having sold more than 30 million albums and 30 million singles worldwide. As well as that, she’s also received over one hundred awards, including fourteen Grammy Awards, eleven Billboard Music Awards and three MTV Europe Awards. Alicia’s multi-platinum fourth studio album, ‘Element of Freedom’, sold one million copies in the UK alone and was one of Britain’s top 10 best selling albums of 2010.
The additional London date for ‘Girl On Fire – The Tour’ will be at London’s 02 arena on 31st May 2013. Tickets for this new show will go on sale on the 7th December.
