American superstar Adam Lambert should be celebrating after his new album ‘Trespassing’ has debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, selling 77,000 copies in it’s first week. And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, it has also made it to number 1 on the Billboard Digital Albums Chart.
This is a huge achievement for the American Idol runner up, as even though his 2009 debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’ has sold nearly 2 million copies, it only ever managed to make it to number 3 on the Billboard chart.
Adam has collaborated with many award winning artists, producers and songwriters on his new album including Pharrell Williams, Bonnie McKee and Sam Sparro, to name just a few.
The second single from the album ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ is out June 24th and has been written and produced by Bruno Mars and Dr. Luke.
Adam is spending a lot of time in London throughout June and July, with him confirmed to be performing at the Rays of Sunshine concert at the Royal Albert Hall on June 7th and at G-A-Y on June 9th. He will also be performing as Queen’s frontman at three sold out Hammersmith Apollo shows in July.
‘Trespassing’ is Adam’s second album and will be released in the UK on July 2nd.
