Waxahatchee has announced that her already acclaimed album ‘Cerulean Salt’ will be released in the UK on 1st July 2013 via Wichita.
2013 has already brought Alabama-born Katie Crutchfield much success, after the release of her second record in the US last month earnt critical praise and the ‘Best New Music’ award from Pitchfork, along with an 8.4 album score.
She also played a string of successful shows at this year’s SXSW, coined as one of the festival’s highlights by both local and international press.
‘Cerulean Salt’ is a more polished record than her previous, though is no less intimate and honest. Its strength lies in the simplicity and purity of its songs. Straight from the heart lyrics and guitars form the basis of such a great record. Frank vocals and melodies make the record sound like an instant classic from the start.
