Benjamin Francis Letfwich is a 21 year old singer songwriter from York who’s already released two EPs, a debut album ‘Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm’ and has been in high demand at this year’s summer festivals with apperances at iTunes, Glastonbury, Lounge on the Farm, Boardmasters. All that and he is still to play Reading and Leeds, Bestival and Jimmy’s Harvest Festival.
Impressively, Benjamin has been playing the guitar since the age of 10 and quotes the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan as his musical influences.
Hit the Floor caught up with Benjamin backstage at this year’s Camp Bestival. We chatted about his new album, musical influences, his thoughts on Mike Skinner’s remix of his latest single ‘Atlas Hands’ (which was chosen by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe as ‘the hottest record in the world’) and find out who his ultimate festival line-up would be!
