The Wombats front man Matthew Murphy has recently admitted to being addicted to prescription anti depressants during the bands early touring stages. He has now assured fans that he has now overcome is addiction while writing the bands newest album ‘The Modern Glitch’.
He commented whilst talking to The Sun:
‘I first started taking medication before our first single came out. Then, once we were touring, I was taking quite high dosages and they just kept going up and up. I started putting on a lot of weight. That was the main reason I wanted to come off them. I hated going on stage and feeling fat.’
At least he is on the mend now and we look forward to the bands new album ‘The Modern Glitch‘ being released on April 25th.
