Another date
for your diary …The Good, The Bad & The Queen have confirmed they are playing a one-off show on Thursday 10th November at London’s Cornet to celebrate the 40th birthday of Greenpeace and the arrival, in London, of the new Rainbow Warrior III.
The super-group consists of Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Simon Tong (the Verve) and drummer Tony Allen. This will be the first time the quartet have played live together since 2008.
Bassist Paul Simonon confirmed:
“We’ve always supported Greenpeace and their amazing work. It should be a great night; we’re really looking forward to it.”
This show is a fantastic opportunity to see ‘musical royalty’ all performing on the same stage, at the same time and in Greenpeace’s Executive Director John Sauven‘s own words:
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 40th Anniversary than with The Good, The Bad and the Queen.”
