Julian Casablancas the lead singer of The Strokes, has stated that his band want to concentrate on their new album and not touring.
Talking to GQ, he said the band “wasn’t so equal, but it was the illusion of equal, so I think it fucked with everything.” He added: “A band is a great way to destroy a friendship, and a tour’s a great way to destroy a band.” The singer recently said that “In January we might meet up and work on some ideas. Everyone is psyched. Everything is in a really cool place.”
Casblancas is set to release his second solo album Tyranny on October 13, the follow up to Phrazes For The Young.
