Last week, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks announced their return with the follow up to their Beck-produced 2011 LP ‘Mirror Traffic‘.
‘Wig Out at Jagbags‘, which is set for release on January 7, is being released via Matador (January 6 in the UK via Domino). Additionally if pre-ordered from Matador‘s store, customers will recieve a one-sided 7″ on strawberry red vinyl featuring a non-album track called “Pick Up the Spare“. On Sunday evening, the group previewed four tracks during a hometown gig at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom. Malkmus and the Jicks will presumably preview more of their new album during their upcoming European tour, currently scheduled to span the majority of January.
