Rockness is usually held on the banks of Loch Ness and has been going strong for eight years now and usually pulls in crowds of around 35,000. However, due to the popularity of big events such as the Commonwealth Games and the World Cup the decision was made to cancel it for this year. The acts that featured on last year’s lineup were The Vaccines, The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ellie Goulding and Mumford & Sons. The organisers of Rockness announced that this break to make the festival even bigger and better for 2015.
