Pete Doherty might be released from prison before his previously scheduled performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals.
Last week The Libertines frontman was given a six-month sentence after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine following police enquiries into the death of film maker Robyn Whitehead.
TheLawPages claimed that Peter was given a likely release date of August 21st. Conveniently in time for him to continue to play Reading and Leeds Festivals on the 26th and 28th of August.
A spokesperson for the Reading and Leeds Festivals told NME that they had no comment on whether or not Pete would be able to play in his headline slot on the Festival Republic stage. So maybe he isn’t playing?
