Pete Doherty is set to play a series of solo shows in Nottingham, Oxford and Bristol in July. These gigs will be immediately prior to The Libertines‘ reunion show – his band will headline British Summer Time at Hyde Park on 5 July. In addition, the group have announced warm up gigs scheduled for later this month and have secured a headline slot at Benicassim.
When speaking to NME about The Libertine’s impending reunion, the singer said: “We were talking about doing some news songs. Or even better, finishing some old songs that we always knew should have been on Up The Bracket if we could have been arsed.”
