The Modfather will be a doing a mini tour of some of London’s most intimate venues this month.
Paul Weller will be playing Bush Hall on May 19th, 100 Club May 20th and Dingwalls on the 21st. These gigs are all to promote Weller’s new great hits compilation More Modern Classics out June 2nd.
Speaking to XFM’s John Holmes, Weller declared that he ” just fancied doing it That’s a good enough reason, isn’t it?” he added, before praising the 100 Club. “It’s like a place that’s been frozen in time, but in a good way, in a nice way. But you do get a sense of history. So many different people have played there over the decades. It’s in the walls and the décor.”
Tickets for the gigs are unsurprisingly already sold out. The new greatest hits includes ‘Sweet Pea, My Sweet Pea’,’From The Floorboards Up’ and the new single ‘Brand New Toy’.
