Noel Gallagher has officially denied rumours that he will be the artist to master the new theme song for the next James Bond film ‘Skyfall‘. Earlier this month the rumour mill started churning and is was reported that the ex Oasis member will be behind the new theme tune for the Bond Epic, which many artists such as Madonna and Paul McCartney have done in previous years. However, speaking through Noel’s official website Noelgallagher.com Noel stated the following:
“I don’t know where you’ve seen a story that’s doing the rounds about me being offered the job of penning the tune for the new James Bond film? Apparently I’m being courted by ‘007 bosses!’ A meeting ‘will be taking place in the next few days’. With some guy called [film producer] “Michael G. Wilson” (whoever he is)!”
Gallagher also added that “A ‘source’ says, ‘Nothing has been signed or made official’! Of course it fuckin’ hasn’t! Who is this fucking source? Has he been on the sauce’? Bizarre indeed.”
Ever the comedian, we believe you Noel. However, we still want to know who actually is ‘penning the tune’ of the James Bond film ‘Skyfall‘.
