Noel Gallagher today held a press conference at London’s Electric Cinema to announce hisupcoming debut solo album which will be called Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. The album is due to be released on 17th October 2011 and has been produced by Dave Sardy (who worked with Noel when he was in Oasis).
It will be a 10 track album and will include songs:
Everybody’s On The Run, Dream On, If I Had A Gun…, The Death Of You And Me, (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine, AKA…What A Life!, Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks, AKA…Broken Arrow, (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach, and Stop The Clocks.
Noel told reporters during the press conference that he has already finished recording his second follow-up album, which is yet to be titled.
The ex-Oasis star will embark on a tour this October to coincide with the release of the album and tour dates will be announced shortly. He also confirmed that he will play Oasis tracks during his live shows.
Noel also told reporters that the reason behind the Oasis split in 2009 was not the fact that he had had enough of Oasis but simply that he ‘had had enough of Liam‘ [ex-Oasis frontman and brother] so no surprises there!
