The National have had an extraordinary few years. Headlining festivals and releasing critically – loved albums, such as ‘High Violet‘ and one of 2013’s finest albums ‘Trouble Will Fine Me‘. So front man Matt Berninger allowed his younger sibling Tom to show off his own creative prowess and shoot his brothers band over a year long tour called ‘Mistaken For Strangers’.
Employed as a roadie for their ‘High Violet’ tour, Tom Berninger has an access all areas to the life of his older brother’s band. But this isn’t just a simple tour film. This is sweet, comedic film about a mans under achievements and his personal struggle to make something of himself, under the shadow of his more successful brother.
‘Mistaken For Strangers’ has already received high acclaim on the world’s film festival circuit and will be given a US theatrical release later on in the year and can also be downloadable on Itunes from March 28th.
