It was news that saddened the Indie world this past August when Jon Brookes, longtime drummer with The Charlatans passed away after an long battle with a brain tumour. Now singer Tim Burgess has revealed that the drummer had left enough recordings behind for them to be able to put him onto tracks on their upcoming 12th album.
He had this to say –
“The album will feature Jon, even songs that aren’t written will include Jon in the writing. He’s just going to be part of it”
The as yet untitled album is expected to be released in 2014.
