Hit the Floor would like to introduce to you the beautiful and extraordinary talented Lana Del Rey. Lana (also known as Lizzy Grant) has been our radar for a while, but we thought it was time to share her with our readers…
Lana is a 24 year old who grew up on the outskirts of New York and takes her influences from ‘black and white 50’s movies, Coney Island, Hip-Hop and heartbreak’ and encapsulates this in her old-school style which she describes as “Hollywood Sadcore”; add to this her Bridget Bardot-esq looks and stunning soulful smoky voice and power dark lyrics Lana Del Rey is definitely ‘one to watch’.
The American singer-songwriter will be making an appearance at Madam Jos Jos, London on the 5th October (a show HTF cannot recommend highly enough) and will thereafter be releasing her debut track ‘Video Games’ (and its B-side “Blue Jeans“) digitally on the 9 October and a day after on limited edition 7″.
