HTF have been following and supporting South – West’s ‘The Battle Of The Bands’ located in Devon’s English Riviera talent spot, Torquay. Here we have watched and voted for our favourite musician on each battle night at bar ‘Blu Cargo’ since the beginning of October. This friendly competition has been full of musical talent! To the extent of some week’s, having to put through all acts! A tough and close battle, we are now down to the final three.
Competing this Friday, to win £1,000 and HTF exposure, is some of the South – West’s most raw and incredible musician’s. All of whom are very different from one another and what you wouldn’t see in the mainstream music industry of today.

Meet our finalist’s –
Amy & Mitch are an amazing acoustic duo. Together they can fill any room full of pure warmth and smiles. Mitch plays his guitar like a duck swims to water. So smooth and easy, you’d think he’d been strumming that thing since the day he came out of the delivery room.. Amy’s vocals are so beautiful and simply perfect. HTF and event organiser Dan Perk’s shared draw drops and goose-bump’s through Amy & Mitch’s rendition of Adele’s – ‘Fire’. The notes that Amy can reach are simply incredible.
Together this duo take on known song’s to all, focusing on the 90’s and hit’s of today, turning each track into their own! Forever touring Devon itself, locals alike cannot get enough of Amy & Mitch as this duo are constantly in strong demand. A massive tease, as to hear this duo in action means you have to literally be there live at one of their gigs! So all we can suggest is, get down to Blu Cargo this Friday! Owen Penrice write’s and record’s his own tracks on life and his youthful experiences. You get lost in this artist, as you follow in his reality stories. From the funny, to the serious, to even his first love song! The room drops in silence as soon as Owen opens his mouth. This musician is a captivator completely in his own right and style too. Owen has a distinctive vocal and throws in some rap for good measure! He can even take on another artist’s song and twist it into an “Owen Penrice!”Owen likes to experiment with samples, and when performing, he takes to stage with just his guitar. Feeling fresh and raw this adds to Owen’s captivation. Fans of Owen Penrice have even formed strong opinions on whether they prefer his acoustic set’s to his current recorded experiment’s.You can catch Owen on local radio waves and UK gig’s, from the South to the North.
