16 years (can you believe it?:)) after their breakthrough hit album, ‘Free Peace Sweet‘, seminal Britpop band Dodgy are set to release a new album, featuring original members Nigel Clark, Andy Miller and Mathew Priest.
The album is going to be called ‘Stand Upright In A Cool Place‘, and will be issued on February 20th. The album, the band’s first since 2001’s ‘Real Estate’, was recorded during this past summer in Malvern, and was mixed in Texas.
Tracks on the new album will include ‘Tripped and Fell’, ‘Raggedstone Hill’, ‘What Became Of You’ and ‘Only A Heartbeat’. When asked why there was such a gap between LPs, singer Nigel Clarke is reported as saying:
“What’s the rush? We’ve taken our time to make sure this album is better than our last one… and that was brilliant. The fans deserve it and we believe that the songs are good enough to win us a whole new audience.”
