The first album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine was released a decade ago in 2004 and Death From Above 1979 have confirmed that their anticipated second album will be a project to satisfy themselves and ultimately better the first album.
Splitting in 2006 and since reuniting in 2011, band mates Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F. Keeler have announced the second album due to be entitled The Physical World will be released in early September.
The band ultimately want to surpass the success of You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine with Jesse F. Keeler telling NME “It quickly became apparent that if we tried to do this again, we could make a record that would satisfy us more.”
The album will be produced by Oasis producer Dave Sardy.
