London five-piece Chapel Club are on the final leg of their UK tour and the indie rock band have promised fans a real treat with their last live shows as they will not only feature tracks from their debut album ‘Palace’ but will also play an extra exclusive set, at each show, previewing unheard songs from their forthcoming second album!
Chapel Club have confirmed that their second album will be a reinvention in sound from their first studio album.
Front man Lewis Bowman explained:
“We all have a lot of love for the songs [on Palace] and we love that so many people have taken them to their hearts. But when we wrote them we were still learning how to write songs together. Now we have a bit more experience, we’re better able to explore the possibilities. Everything feels freer and fresher and more relaxed and more exciting; hopefully the new songs reflect that.”
The October shows will therefore see the band unusually putting on two performances each night where they will pay a main set featuring songs from ‘Palace’ and ‘Wintering’ (their 2010 EP) and will also play a set of solely of their new material.
The tour will come to a finale at the band’s biggest headline show to date, London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire!
