Berlin boys Mat.Joe are here to delight you with a bass heavy, deep house delicacy that will put a reverb on your kickdrum.
Coming at you from the stable of OFF Recordings this new offering sees the duo provide the listener with three sublime tracks that are a riot of hip hop vocals and deep house grooves. ‘Showtime‘ lead track gets you moving in the first few bars, leaving you lost in swirl of beats and bass that would slip happily into any DJ set. Second track ‘Hypnotic’ starts with a bit more swagger with a haunting vocal sample that entices your ears with its warm tones. Finishing off the EP is ‘Somebody’ a heavier offering, but still a heady mix of hip hop samples and ghetto-friendly vibes. Somebody has also benefited from a sensual remix from Forrest slowing the track down a wee bit and showing off the sampled vocals with a wonderfully arrogant panache.
