We can all click a mouse these days but it is hard to recognise a good talented music producer for their own clever artistic creation in the music industry, and how hard they work to define their own in this musical world.
Emika educated herself in music for years, working as her own studio with a box full of instruments, she developed her own self and passion. With this growing passion and education, Emika has always felt, on every possible level, from the art of song writing to recording, that it is within her duty to develop these elements to reach their every possible level.
Truly a deep, intelligent and passionate musician, Emika follows suit by using her instruments as her D.I.Y in producing the most unique deep creations. Working with soft synths, her voice, piano, and samples, this incredible talent has built up so much love, admiration and musical she has gained high ratings from not only ourselves, but from the likes of Mary- Ann Hobbs to Radiohead’s Thom Yorke!
This has given us all great in-patience and anticipation for the debut album.
Emika’s evolved sound has come from taking her inspiration from techno culture, appreciating it’s movement with sound and dancing used to it’s very core, as well as from a growning passion and experience in the dubstep culture. From flipping between Bristol and London’s dubstep scenes, Emika felt the love and depth from the “meditational bass vibes” that uplifted young people into the deep sounds, giving them the feeling to feel free in their own movement and creation.
“Originally it was deep spiritual music made by kids for kids”.
This combination of inspiration’s along with her already musical talents as a classically trained pianist, singer, and love of the great universal pop song gave Emika an evolution in musical making and has given us a completely unique creative record to completely divulge in!
Berlin’s legendary engineer ‘Rashad Becker’ also worked with Emika to develop her creation’s over these years to complete the debut. A master in mixing and recording himself, he was able to help Emika in developing her unique styles and varied passion’s.

Having heard a preview of the new single all I can say now is you will feel every single piece of every instrument’s depth, your ear’s will awaken and your speakers will come alive!
The bass is incredible and it is true that I have not heard any other artist like Emika. It’s not a high tempo track, yet it is not depressing, its a one of a kind, very sexy and deep bassed track with un-intruding vocals and a sharp lyrical statement. Euphoric, bold, stands out and I love that.
