A TV series about a film about a TV series? The Jim Carrey hit, The Truman Show, is to turn into a television series.
Paramount Studios is considering taking the content that it owns such as novels, screenplays and non-fiction and turning them into new television series. Paramount Executive Amy Powell told US blog The Wrap: “We have three buckets of content we’re looking at, and one of them is intellectual property the studio, which has been around for over 100 years, owns.”
The Truman Show was a hit film back in 1998. It made $264m at the box office and was nominated for three Oscars. The film cemented Carrey as a serious acting talent.
