Better Call Saul, the spin-off to AMC’s Breaking Bad, has added Michael McKean to the cast of its upcoming TV series.
He is the first new member of the cast and will play Dr. Thurber, a possible rival lawyer or boss, he will join Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) and Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) in the prequel to the highly acclaimed Breaking Bad.
The events of the series will follows Saul’s career prior to meeting Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Aaron Paul has also expressed interest in joining the cast again as Pinkman, but it is unclear of how this could be done due to the chronology of events.
Better Call Saul is due to air in November on AMC and will also be released on Netflix.
