Futurama is set to make a return thanks to the members of Cinema Relics Productions.
That’s right, the science-fiction cartoon created by Matt Groening – Creator of The Simpsons – will be brought back to life in a fan film. Although the original program produced a strong cult following, the show went off multiple times before finally calling it a day back in 2013.
FAN-O-RAMA will try to bring the much-loved animated characters back to life, but in the three-dimensional world. Where Fry, Amy, and Hermes seem straight forward, it’s going to be harder work to make Leela, Bender, Dr. Zoidberg, and even Professor Farnsworth, seem realistic enough for fans to enjoy.
However from the glimpses in the trailer above, we feel that Cinema Relics Productions’ makeup and design team have done a great job. But at the end of the day, it was the genius scripts that made millions fall in love with the program – let’s hope FAN-O-RAMA can follow the same path.
