Horror franchise Friday The 13th is set to make its way to the small screen.
Following reports of an upcoming theatrical reboot, a television adaptation of Friday The 13th is also currently in production. Director of the original film, Sean S. Cunningham, will join the project as Executive Producer. Writers Bill Basso and Jordu Schell are reportedly writing a script which will follow serial killer Jason Voorhees and the residents of Crystal Lake.
Although yet to be officially commissioned by a network, the show is said span different time periods, allowing history of the Voorhees clan will be explored deeply.
This follows the news of horror franchise Scream being turned into an upcoming television series by MTV.
The upcoming Friday The 13th film reboot will open in cinemas in US on March 13, 2015.
