The Inbetweeners 2 has released its first teaser trailer showing Jay, Neil, Simon and Will heading to Australia for plenty more cringe-worthy, embarrassing and chaotic moments.
Co-creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have been announced as directors this time around, taking over from Ben Palmer. All involved are hoping that the sequel, which they initially claimed probably wouldn’t happen, will duplicate the original’s monumental £58 million.
“We can’t say too much as we don’t want to spoil the jokes for you”, the screenwriters said in a statement when the film was originally announced, “but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos. And Australians. And possibly koalas. Oh and obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon, providing they’re let into the country. Thanks so much for all your support, we’re hoping to deliver a film that you’ll enjoy even more than the last one.”
James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and Simon Bird are back in front of the camera, joined by Daisy Ridley, Celeste Cotton, David Schaal, Larissa Jones and Susan Wokoma. The Inbetweeners 2 is set for release on August 6.
