The first trailer has surfaced for the new Fargo TV series, which is based on the weird and wonderful world of the Coen brothers’ classic of the same name. The FX series will take the form of a ten-episode drama and will star Martin Freeman and also feature Billy-Bob Thornton.
Freeman plays a victimized car salesman who finds himself on the wrong side of the law, while Thornton appears as an antagonistic drifter. The new trailer showcases the loveable Minnesotan weirdness, including the brilliant accent put on by Freeman.
Other faces that will appear in the series include Breaking Bad’s Bob Odenkirk, Colin Hanks, Adam Goldberg and Oliver Platt. Fargo is due to air in the US on 15 April 2014 and will be shown on Channel 4 in the UK shortly after.
