Ed Sheeran may be topping another chart soon with his upcoming appearance on Top Gear! The 23-year-old music star will be taking a spin on the race-track in the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car section of the show.
One problem? He doesn’t have a driving license, and doesn’t like going fast!
Ed will be allowed to drive an automatic version of the Vauxhall Astra featured in this series on a race track in Surrey used by the production team. He’ll be hoping to overtake the lap times of previous contestants this series such as current leader Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and second-place AC/DC star Brian Johnson.
Top Gear has previously allowed stars such as Johnny Vegas and Jack Whitehall to take to the circuit without a license, so Ed isn’t the only one! He has previously admitted “Sports cars scare the shit out of me because they go so fast.” We can’t wait to see how he does!
