The live final of Celebrity Big Brother was watched by an estimated 2.1 million viewers as Gary Busey was crowned as the winner last night.
Overnight data suggests that Channel 5 claimed approximately 11% of the total audience share from 9pm onwards. An additional 58,000 people tuned on in +1 an hour later, too.
Its spin off show, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, often referred to as BBBOTS by hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark, pulled in a figure just shy of the one million mark, with about 977,000 viewers at 10:45pm, receiving 9% of the total audience share. (Only 70,000 tuned in for the +1 showing, a share of 1.2%).
Aside from the syndicated soaps across the terrestrial networks, BBC1‘s Would I Lie To You? generated a share of 2.8 million viewers/13.6% and was the most watched primetime show.
This weeks instalment of Boomers attracted an average of 2.65m viewers at 9pm (13.2%) and the new series of Big School generated 2.34m (12.1%) from 9.30pm.
The new series of Alan Carr: Chatty Man kicked off with just over one million viewers with 6.9%, while Freddie Flintoff on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories attracted 1.85 million (9.5%).
