It has been confirmed that star Will Smith has left Legendary Entertainment’s adaption of Marcus Sakey’s novel Brilliance.
The book is set in a world where 1% of children are born as ‘brilliants’, with special powers. A federal agent who hunts terrorists must track down an infamous terrorist who intends to start a civil war.
Will Smith left the cast as scheduling issues could not be worked out as the Men In Black star is leading Warner Bros’ ‘Focus’ which is set for release on February 27. It is also unclear whether Will Smith will reprise his role in Independence Day but producers have said the film will go ahead with or without Smith.
