Will There Be A Sequel To Beetlejuice?

Beetlejuice came out in 1988 and was Tim Burton’s second film as director and still remains one of his biggest hits to this day. 25 years later Burton has confirmed that he is seriously considering directing a sequel after Dark Shadows writer, Seth Grahame-Smith’s new script has been completed.

Given Burton’s recent films, the aforementioned Dark Shadows and also Frankenweenie are not performing as well as his usual movies, this could also encourage Burton into the directors chair and get the fans and critics back on side again.

Beetlejuice himself, Michael Keaton, had slowed down slightly on his movie career in the last few years. However with roles in 3 big films coming out next year including RoboCop and Need for Speed, he may well jump at the chance to be re-united with Burton and continue to build on the numerous collection of films that they have collaborated on in the past.
